“Human Resources Management” training for high-ranking officials of state bodies

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva - APA. Civil Service Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan began training on “Human Resources Management” for high-ranking officials of state bodies within the joint program with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). Delivering a speech at the opening of the ceremony, UN resident-coordinator in Azerbaijan Bruno Pueza told that civil service develops in Azerbaijan and its benefits increase year by year, APA reports. According to him, the number of public servants doesn’t reduce in Azerbaijan and the main purpose of development of the civil service is that the structure of public services meets the requirements: “Azerbaijan may be an example for several countries from viewpoint of civil service development. The reforms inside civil service demand changes. Here we speak about reforms in human resources sphere. To assess the activity of manpower resource, to increase their professionalism and to create appropriate working environment are very important issues”.

Chairman of the commission Bahram Khalilov noted that the body where he worked for 3 years had ensured transparency and fairness in admittance to the civil service. He said that training would last 5 days. The training will be attended by heads of executive power apparatus on the first day, heads of organizations working with personnel on the second day and other state bodies on the following days. Experts of the Lithuanian Institute of Public Administration will deliver lectures on management of the personnel in state administration, the role of leadership, ability to make decision. Training are held with upon the request of public servants.
