The Beach Polo Sea Breeze 2026 tournament will be held on September 11–13, 2026, at Havana Beach on the grounds of Sea Breeze Resort, APA reports.
The official organizers of the event are the Equestrian Federation of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ARAF) and Sea Breeze.
Four teams representing Azerbaijan, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Russia will participate in the tournament.
A total of 12 polo players will compete in the tournament. The teams include athletes representing Azerbaijan, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Russia, Argentina and the Republic of South Africa.
As part of the tournament, two polo matches will be held each day on September 11, 12 and 13, starting at 16:00.
The teams’ matchups for each day will be determined by a draw held one day before the matches.
In the Beach Polo format, each match consists of four periods, known as chukkers. Each chukker lasts approximately seven minutes. Including breaks, the total duration of a match is approximately 30–40 minutes. Depending on weather conditions and temperature, certain changes may be made to the duration of the matches and the program.
The tournament final will be held at 16:00 on September 13. Following the final match, an awards ceremony for the winners and the presentation of the trophy will take place.
Along with the sports program, a DJ program and entertainment activities are also planned for spectators as part of the event. Admission to the tournament will be by ticket, and a total of approximately 500 spectators are expected to attend over the three days.
The tournament matches will be broadcast live by Idman TV. In addition, Polo Line, an online channel aimed at an international polo audience, will attend the event and contribute to the tournament’s media coverage and its promotion among the polo community.
The Beach Polo Sea Breeze 2026 tournament is intended to serve as an important event in terms of presenting Azerbaijan’s equestrian sport in a new and dynamic format, expanding ties with the international polo community, promoting the country’s polo and equestrian culture, as well as demonstrating Azerbaijan’s potential for hosting international sporting events.
