McLaren's Lando Norris claimed his first Formula 1 grand prix victory this season on Sunday in Hungary, with Red Bull star Max Verstappen coming second and Kimi Antonelli clinching third place for Mercedes, APA reports.
At the very start, Mercedes driver George Russell dropped all the way to 21st place with an anti-stall issue and had to fight his way back to seventh. Meanwhile, McLaren suffered a blow when Oscar Piastri was forced to abandon the race after an excellent first half, most of which he spent sharing the lead with his teammate Norris. Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton received a penalty in the final laps, surrendering fourth place to his teammate Charles Leclerc.
