The ministry says according to the article #10.3 of the Law of Azerbaijan Republic on “Precious Metals and Stones”, jewellery and other products made of precious metals and precious stones produced and put up for sale by the subjects of entrepreneurial activity must be stamped with state hallmark.
In connection with the abovementioned, jewellery and other household products made from precious metals should be submitted to the State Service for Control on Precious Metals and Precious Stones for expertise, analyses, hallmarking and stamping.
Otherwise, a responsibility emerges for falsifying of state hallmarks, and sale of jewellery and other household products made from precious metals without state hallmarks and/or with false hallmarks under the Code of Administrative Offences and the Criminal Code.
