Procurement of imported goods by budget-funded organizations suspended

APA reports that procurement of imported goods (services) by executive authorities and state budget-funded organizations is suspended till January 1, 2018.

The suspension does not concern procurement of foreign loans attracted under the state guarantee, foreign grants, goods (services) imported in connection with the defense and security of the country, medicines and medical devices.

If there is a need for procurement of imported goods (services) on contracts signed before this order enters into force, the decision on permit for procurement of imported goods (services) by executive authorities and state budget-funded organizations is made by the Ministry of Economy by agreeing with the Azerbaijani President. If a there is a need for procurement of imported goods (services) by executive authorities and state budget-funded organizations, the decision on permit for procurement of imported goods (services) by executive authorities and state budget-funded organizations is made by the Ministry of Economy by agreeing with the Azerbaijani President.

The Ministry of Economy, jointly with the Finance Ministry, is to inform Azerbaijani president about funds spent for procurement of imported goods (services) by executive authorities and state budget-funded organizations.
