The World Bank approved $140 million to fund the expansion of the Baku-Shamakhi highway, said in statement, APA reports quoting official website of the WB.
The Additional Financing will help complete upgrading of the Baku – Shamakhi road sections by expanding them from two to four lanes
Azerbaijani government addressed an official request to the World Bank for additional funding to expand the Baku-Shamakhi highway.
The World Bank has also allocated a loan of $ 10 million to Belarus. Funds are allocated for the modernization of budget management system.
