Georgia. Nizami Mammadzade – APA. Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway is very significant project, whereas, the international arena did not support this project. This is a strategic project which needs large funds and is implemented by Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, professor, economical expert Vladimir Papava said.
According to him, the VTK is one of the international projects which are included in the Silk Road project: “Earlier, the Silk Road project mainly included pipelines and transport corridor, not it also includes railway. BTK opens new opportunities for integration of our region to the East and West”.
Papava added that the BTK will contribute to development of economies of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey: “Our countries should give priority to the economic projects which will bring stability to the region”.
