Baku. Vusal Nabiyev - APA-Economics. State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan spent AZN 61.5 mln or $51.5, while it was planned to spend AZN 111.5 mln, the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan Republic said in its report on the activities for 2015, APA-Economics reports.
In 2007-2015, the Fund allocated AZN 485.7 mln or $588.1 mln for funding of this project.
According to the Ministry of Transport, the reduction was due to severe weather, difficult relief and delay in allocation of quarries on plots of land by Georgian governments.
As a part of the project, construction of 76 km of Kars-Akhalkalaki railway line in Turkey, 26 km in Georgia and rehabilitation of the 160km-Akhalkalaki-Marabda road are planned.
