“The New Turkan settlement covering 2,000.0 ha will border Gala village to the north, Turkan village to the north-east, Hovsan settlement to the west and the Caspian Sea to the south. The new settlement will be covered by Gala-Turkan motor roads on the east, Hovsan-Turkan road on the south and Sigh-Turkan road on the north. The settlement will have residential areas, industrial areas and quarries which don’t operate. Samur-Absheron channel and a pipeline pass through the settlement’s northern part”, Alesgerov said.
“The quarries in the area will be replaced by artificial lakes. The projected area makes 1,350 ha and will have 35-40,000 people”, Alesgerov said.
Alesgerov also noted that fully restoration of the second stage of Boyukshor Lake will carried out in 2016-2020.
