Azerbaijan to attend international education and ICT exhibition in London

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. On January 11-14, London will host the international exhibition BETT 2012, devoted to application of innovations ad modern technology in education.

Azerbaijani delegation will take part in this event. The delegation will be headed by Samir Mammadov, Head of Bureau on ICT for Education at Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan.

â€œBETT 2012 purposes the acquaintance with the existing modern technology and their application possibilities in Azerbaijan. The participation in the exhibition and different conferences within the framework of this event will allow compare the process of informatization of education in Azerbaijan, as well as bring the works carried out within the State Program to the attention of international expertsâ€, added Mammadov.

BETT 2012 will focus on AzEduNet, teaching staff to raise awareness of ICT, the development of electronic educational resources, Edu.az National Educational Portal, â€œE-schoolâ€ pilot project, the application of information technologies in education management, â€œSupport for colleagueâ€ and â€œ1 student - 1 computerâ€ projects.

Note that, 600 companies and 30,000 visitors are expected to attend BETT 2012.
