Azerbaijani President: The most modern road and transport infrastructure to be created in Azerbaijan
Head of the State expressed satisfaction that the active participation of Korean companies, the system established in Azerbaijan in Baku.
â€This system will allow greater resolve safety issues, there will be new opportunities for traffic management. Creates perfect conditions for a culture of traffic control, will make a control system. I am sure that after the full implementation of the system in operation, each resident of Baku will be felt in life wonderful effect of this centerâ€, - he said.
The President expressed hope that the next stage of this system will be established in other cities. â€In a few years all the cities of our country will be provided with this wonderful system. In the end, it will lead to a unique situation in the world. Because, as I said, this system is available in 8 countries, but covers them in one or two citiesâ€, - the President said.
According to him, if at the time this work was not done, then a similar situation might have been in Baku. “Infrastructure projects have been taken proactive measures that are not allowed to have traffic jams in Baku a major problem. But it is also true that the number of cars increases, improving people’s welfare. As a result of the work, reforms the country’s citizens live better yet, buy more cars. In the coming years we will take additional measures to improve the road transport system in Baku. There are concrete plans and resources. These questions will find their solution in the investment program next year", - he said.
He stressed that along with this must go on building underground. “It will also reduce the load transport. Now, each year building a new subway station. We already have 23 stations. Prepared conceptual plan - how many stations should be commissioned in 2015 and 2030. Our plans are to increase the number of subway stations in Baku on 70 and. I can say that this is a unique program. In no other city has no construction program of about 50 stations in such a short time, and in Baku isâ€, - he said.
The president said the country’s transport sector is developed very well. Everywhere is under construction. “Laid-haul, long-distance, rural roads. Investments in the transport sector, justify themselves. These are investments that do not directly generate revenue. This is not a company, not a factory. However, nested in this area means a few years to bear fruit. Where the road is laid, it will create a new infrastructure, there is a revival, and there comes an investment. Now we are building great highways in all directions, we connect with each other towns and villages. Look at the positive impact it has on people’s lives, on business development. In our beautiful, scenic places built modern hotels. If there is no way, no one will invest no money. The road and the light - the first step. To this end, our investment programs, most funds provided by the road transport sector. We are in the following years will continue this work, both in Baku and the regions. Thus, in Azerbaijan will be created the most modern road transport infrastructure. Most of it has already been established. At the same time develop other sectors of transport: rail, air or sea transport. Buy new ships, tankers, ferries, building new international airportsâ€, - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said..
