Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. Soon, the market will itself regulate the price changes of the Internet in Azerbaijan, said Azerbaijan’s Minister of Communications and IT Ali Abbasov.
To him, at present, the price of Internet is at the same level as in the Eastern European countries.
Note that, in January-June, 2011, wholesale prices of the Internet decreased by 2 times in Azerbaijan. Last time on October 1, internet providers – Aztelekom and Bakinternet decreased price of internet services due to development of internet and increase of demand for new services. Depending on channel’s speed, state providers’ tariffs have cheapened by a percentage of 25-50%. Channel speed of former subscribers has been increased.
