Baku. Konul Jafarli - APA. Iran banned Turkey to implement charter flights. It does not let the planes with Turkish flag to carry tourists from Iran to Turkey.

As a result, Iranian tourists could not take part in the international event held in Konya, Turkey. Each year, 1800 Iranian tourists used to attend this ceremony and pay $ 500 per head during 4-day trip in Konya.

Package tours have also been deleted due to suspension of charter flights. Some companies have faced bankruptcy because of $ 500,000-debt from air and hotel payments. Hotel managers are afraid that if this situation lasts, the hotels will be empty during Novruz holiday in March.

Note that, in 2006, Iran banned charter flights to Antalya, Dalaman and Bodrum, then it allowed charter visits from Tehran to Izmir. The reason of ban – photos of Iranian tourists, which are not in accordance with Islamic morals, were posted on media of Turkey.
