Construction of satellite has already been started, said the Azerkosmos OJSC chairman Rashad Nabiyev.
According to him, at the same time, head and spare centres are constructed for surface management of satellite. Head centre will be located in Gala, spare centre – in Nakhchivan.
Total cost of project is $250 mln. Is formed on the account of foreign loans, 15% - of state and relevant loan agreements have been signed with US Eximbank and French BNP Paribas Banks.
He also noted that, next satellite was planned to launch in 2015.
