Regional IT center offered to establish in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijani Minister of Communication and IT Ali Abbasov has met with United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Secretary General Yan Kubish.

Informing about project on â€œReview of operation on Innovationsâ€ Kubish noted that, UNECE and international experts holds necessary researches and recommend. HE added that, development of such projects in Azerbaijan in 2013 was acceptable.

Cooperation issues within UN SPECA (Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia) were discussed at the meeting. Besides, the issue on operation of â€œState-private partnershipâ€ was discussed.

Kubish noted that, establishment of regional IT Center could be effective for Azerbaijan.

In turn, Abbasov noted that, he supported this project.
