Railway tickets started to be sold via internet in Azerbaijan

Who wants to purchase ticket via the internet, must firstly register on the website of the Azerbaijan Railway Company (www.railway.gov.az). Then, the citizen must fill the registration blank, write the demanded information. It includes user name, password, email address, name and surname, the name of the ticket (for example, identification card or foreign passport), the information in this document (serial number), the citizenâ€™s address, home or mobile phone.

For purchasing of a ticket, citizen must use his/her username and password and enter the system. Firstly, the citizen selects date of departure, the starting and destination station, train, and then railcar.

After clients affirm his/her selection all information about his/her order is seen and the client can check them again. After check up, the client implements payment via plastic card and electron form of the ticket is seen. AT the same time, e-form is sent to the clientâ€™s e-mail. Itâ€™s possible to buy ticket for opposite direction by this method.

The client must come to the station before ah hour departure and submit the e-form for affirmation. Itâ€™s possible to buy ticket from 7:00 am to 11:0 pm, every day.

According to rules, a person can purchase tickets for 4 persons by using own code. But the client must post all information about other clients. THE tickets for children below 5 years old are free. For 5-10 years â€“ half ticket, Over 10 years â€“ full ticket.
