First meeting of Azerbaijani-Jordanian working group on ICT cooperation to be held in Q1, 2012

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijani Ambassador to Jordan Elman Arasli met with Minister of Information and Communication Technologies of Jordan Bassem Al Rousan.

The Ministry of Communications and IT told APA that, the main theme of the meeting was the development of Azerbaijan-Jordanian cooperation in information and communication technologies. The ambassador said Azerbaijan has proposed to hold the first meeting of Jordan-Azerbaijan working group in the first quarter of 2012 with the view of providing execution of â€œMemorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the field of information communications technologies between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan Republic and Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Hashemite Kingdom of Jordanâ€ signed on October 12, 2009.
The Jordanian ICT minister said there were ample opportunities for ICT cooperation between the two countries.

Bassem Al Rosan invited Azerbaijan`s Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov to visit Amman in early 2012 with the intent of holding discussions in the given area.
