President Ilham Aliyev opens Shaki winery

The Head of State was informed that the total area of the facility is 7, 8 hectares. The construction of the plant started in 2008.
The capacity of the facility is 3,000 tons and is expected to reach 10-15 thousand tons in the future.
The Head of State viewed a photo gallery reflecting care and attention of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev to development of private sector, as well as vine-growing in the country.
President Ilham Aliyev pressed a button to launch the Shaki winery.
Along with Chinar, the winery will produce a variety of wines including Shaki, Chalabi, Karvansaray and Khan Sarayi.
Equipment installed in the winery was made in Italy.
The facility has a 2-storied administrative building, lab, canteen, conference hall and guest house.
The President praised the work done here and wished successes to the winery workers.
