Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfas Garayev informed the President on the complex.
The Head of State was told “Ashagi Karvansaray†complex which dates back to the 19th century is the biggest Karvansaray in the Middle East. The building with floor space of 8000 square meter has more than 200 rooms.
President viewed the photo stand reflecting the previous and future look of the complex.
Reconstruction work started here in January 2010.
The Head of State was informed a hotel designed for 60-80 people will be constructed in the complex in the second stage of the project.
President Ilham Aliyev gave his instructions and recommendations.
