Azerbaijani Minister of Communications and IT meets with newly appointed British Ambassador

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov met with newly appointed British Ambassador to Azerbaijan Peter Bateman.

Abbasov informed the guest on recent activities of the ministry, as well as large-scale projects important for the country and the region â€“ â€œRegional Innovation Zoneâ€, â€œTrans-Eurasian super informational highwayâ€, â€œE-governmentâ€ State Program. .

The Minister noted the fruitfulness of the meeting with the chairman of British Telecom at the World Economic Forum held recently in the Chinese city of Dalian, and touched on the cooperation of relevant institutions of Azerbaijan with the company.

The Ambassador said the prospects of joint projects with other leading companies in the UK, particularly with the mobile operator Vodafon. He praised the participation of the British company SSTL satellite in the tender, which will be held Azerkosmos LLC and expressed confidence that the company would make a significant contribution to the space industry in Azerbaijan.
