Committee chairman: â€œAzerbaijan is able to switch completely to the European standards within 3-4 years, maybe even earlierâ€

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. Within the past year, the State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents received more than 100 European standards in Azerbaijan, the Committee Chairman Ramiz Hasanov said.

To him, European standards are adopted in stages in Azerbaijan: â€œThey can not take all at once because the economy has its own particular nuances. We need gradually prepare their economies, and then adopt standards. We are able to switch completely to the European standards within 3-4 years, maybe even earlierâ€, said Hasanov.

He stressed that while adoption of standards the State Committee is committed to products related to human health, food: â€œAt the same time, we control the exported products to meet the standardsâ€, - said Hasanov.

To him, the State Committee will sign an agreement with the Office of Licensing in Hungary.
