Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. British Midland International, Heathrow’s second largest airline, has announced a brand new route from Baku to Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan.

Azeri tourists can fly to Bishkek from the 30th October 2011, with fares starting from 332 AZN return including taxes. Flights are on sale now and are available to book at www.flybmi.com and in bmi Azerbaijan office.

Flights to Bishkek will operate three times per week from Heydar Aliyev International Airport on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Leyli Alakbarova, bmi’s Key Account Manager in Azerbaijan, said: “bmi is thrilled to announce the launch of these new flights from Baku to Bishkek, which is a great addition to bmi’s existing services in Azerbaijan. One of the youngest capitals of the Former Soviet Union with its sandy beaches and impressive administrative centers, Bishkek will surely have something to offer for every kind of visitor.”

The new route also means that those wishing to travel from Bishkek to London Heathrow will now travel via Baku instead of Almaty.

bmi operates daily direct flights from Baku to London Heathrow and offers a range of additional services to their frequent and business flyers. Business Class customers can take advantage of bmi’s international lounge, the Great British Lounge. The flagship lounge in London Heathrow Terminal One is open to bmi Business Class, bmi Gold and Silver Diamond club members and Star Alliance Gold card holders. Conceived with customer comfort in mind, the lounge provides a stylish environment in which you can work, relax, dine, and refresh. Certain Business Class fares also enjoy the option of a complimentary Chauffeur Drive service to and from the airport.
