New projects to increase carrying of cargos via railway by 20 mln tons

According to him, additional 5 mln tons of cargos are expected to carry after opening of BTK line. Additional 15 mln tons of cargo will be carried within the North-South corridor project.

Asgerov noted that, North-South project will be in the direction of Russia-Azerbaijan-Iran. Consortium is started to establish among these countries. Authorized capital of consortium is planned to be $ 3 mln.

Azerbaijan is interested in realization of North-South project. According to him, the cargos from Europe, Scandinavian Countries, as well Russia and Ukraine will be able to access to Indian Ocean via Iranâ€™s Bandar Abbas port by passing through Azerbaijan.
