Forecast: This year the growth in ICT sector of Azerbaijan will be 30%

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. The growth of information-communication technologies in Azerbaijan will be 30% before the end of the year, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Elmir Velizadeh said.

To him, the average growth was at this level within the past 6 years: â€œEven in times of crisis, the ICT sector in Azerbaijan has demonstrated 15% growth. This suggests that the sector is able to withstand shocks of the global financial crisisâ€.

Note that, the volume of services rendered to companies operating in Azerbaijan due to natural and legal persons in January-August, this year amounted to AZN 765.3 mln, up 10.5% over the same period last year.
