Azerbaijani President signs decree on additional measures to accelerate socio-economic development of Sheki city

Baku â€“ APA-Economics. President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on additional measures to accelerate socio-economic development of Sheki city. According to the document, the Executive Power of Sheki in conjunction with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the State Committee for Construction and Architecture and the National Academy of Sciences was tasked to prepare proposals about the construction works to be carried out and submit to the Cabinet of Ministers
with the condition of preservation of national architectural traditions and style of Sheki, taking into account the historical and architectural monuments and their buffer zones, population growth, new residential complexes, hotels and holiday complexes, sports, cultural and community network services, intercity transportation, engineering and communication networks, areas where there are objects related to municipal and industrial production sector.

The Cabinet of Ministers is charged to take appropriate measures for approval of master plan on development of Sheki city until 2030.

In order to accelerate socio-economic development of Sheki city, President’s Reserve Fund considered in the State budget for 2011 has allocated AZN 5 mln to Sheki city executive power.

Ministry of Finance instructed to ensure the established order in the amount of funding provided in the order.
