Azerbaijanâ€™s Ministry of Communications and IT holds board meeting

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s Ministry of Communications and IT held a board meeting on current issues and their fulfillment.

Delivering keynote speech at the meeting Minister Ali Abbasov said currently, information and communication technologies sector developed dynamically in the country. The role of this sector in the economy increases day-by-day.

The minister noted that the quality and variety of services rose recently, important works were carried out on modernization of the sector. He noted the importance of execution of projects implemented for higher results.

Broadband communication services, works done on â€œAzDataComâ€ network, measures taken on application of â€œDigital signatureâ€, implementation status of â€œE-Governmentâ€ program, execution of the issues related to application of â€œDigital TVâ€, the current situation on launching of first satellite into the orbit and etc were discussed at the meeting.

Lectures on the mentioned issues were listened and views were exchanged on future perspectives.

Thereafter, appropriate tasks were given to related unions and institutions for the fulfillment of these tasks.
