Tariffs on passenger transportation in Azerbaijan’s transport rises 3.2%

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. In August, 2011, cargo tariffs in transport sector of Azerbaijan reduced by 0.2%, tariffs on passenger transportation went up 3.2%.
SSC says average tariffs on transportation of 10 tons of cargo for 1 km distance via railway rose 6.4%, on bringing from other countries – 1.6%, on transportation of transit cargos – 0.1%, on sending to other countries dropped 9.6%. Tariffs on passenger transportation at international level via railway went up 0.1%.
Transportation of 1tons-cargo to CIS countries via sea transportation slipped 0.1%, to far foreign countries dropped 14.2%.
Cargo transportation to CIS countries via air transportation increased by 0.1%, passenger transportation to CIS countries and abroad increased by 16.4% and 10.3%.
Cargo transportation via pipeline increased by 0.2%.
