Active and passive Internet providers in Azerbaijan

Baku. Sevil Zeynalgizi â€“ APA. Five leading companies delivering Internet traffic to the users in the market of Internet services in Azerbaijan were determined. The Institute of Information Technologies of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences told APA Bakinternet and Uninet took first two leading places among the countryâ€™s Internet providers. Stelford and Azeronline running for the third place also save their leading position in the market of Internet services.

Bakinternet has 19.75 % of shares in the wide-range Internet-traffic market, Uninet- 14.5%, Azeronline â€“ 11,78%, Stelford (Connect) â€“ 10.45%, Dataplus â€“ 8.07%, Superonline â€“ 6.97%, Aztelekom â€“ 4.5%, Adanet â€“ 3.62%, Azstarnet â€“ 3.09%.

Most passive providers are Azeurotel (2.63%), Smart (2.18%), Avirtel (1.57%), Transeurocom and Caspel (0.37%), Aznet (0.41%), Intrans (0.29%), Castel (0.37%), Azintex (0.31%), Globalnet (0.14%) and Azerin (0.11%).
