Azersu Chairman Gorkhmaz Huseynov: â€œDrinking water supply of Baku and surrounding settlements will be regulated during next 2 yearsâ€

15.5 mÂ³ of this is brought to Baku, others â€“ to surrounding settlements along the main pipelines, said the Azersu Chairman Gorkhmaz Huseynov.

According to him, the main part of population in Sabail, Nasimi, Yasamal, Narimanov, Khatai districts were supplied with the water.

So that, 85% of population in Yasamal and Sabail districts, 75% in Nasimi, Narimanov and Binagadi, 50% in NIzami and Khatai receive water: â€œWe try to reach the uninterruptedness water supply 100%â€.

HE also noted that, here were certain tensity and problems in water supply in surrounding settlements of Baku. The water supply of these areas is provided by the 2 pipes from Jeyranbatan and Mashtaga village.

Azersu chairman says that, the water supply of Baku and surrounding settlements will be regulated by the end of 2013. According to him, new water treatment plant is planned to construct in Jeyranbatan water treatment complex in 2011-2013. At the same time, distributing main pipeline with the length of 150 km will be constructed I the direction of Masazir, Balakhani, Ramana, Zira, Pirallahi settlements. Besides, 10 reservoir storages are planned to construct.

Construction of distributing pipes and storages will create additional water network for Absheron peninsula.
