Cargo transportation via sea transport rises 13% in Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Cargo transportation via sea transport increased by 12.6% to 6.2 mln tons, in January-June, 2011.

According to State Statistical Committee, 58.1% of cargo was oil, 41.9% was dry cargo. Generally, 6.2 mln tons loading-unloading operations were conducted during the reporting period, up 29.1% compared to a year ago. Volume of international transit cargo rose 25.2%, volume of imported goods â€“ 84.3%.
