Details of lawsuit between Bakcell and Azercell are known

The claim was related to sum paid by companies in certain tariff to each others for per minute of off-net calls.

According to Bakcellâ€™s Corporative Communication Department, the mobile operators pay fee for per minute in certain tariffs to each others and this tariff is called as â€œinternetwork connection feeâ€. Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies has determined the internetwork connection fee as AZN 0.02 in 2009.Despite the fact that Bakcell appealed to Azercell on tariff reduction for interconnection to the required level, Azercell declares it is satisfied with the current rate. At present, the fare between the two companies remains at a high level. This negatively affects the market, limits the ability of customers to reduce prices for Bakcellâ€.

The press service of Azercell Telekom Ltd. said they are waiting for a court order. The company also noted that, Bakcell was wrong: "We believe that the other side is completely wrong, but the final decision will be made by the courtâ€.

Note that, the claim of Bakcell against Azercell is considered by the Baku- administrative economic court number 1.
