Cargo transportation via railway drops 2% year-on-year

Baku. Vahab Rzayev - APA-Economics. In January-June, 2011, 10.5 mln tons of cargo was transported via railway in Azerbaijan, SSC told APA.

Cargo transportation via railway declined 1.9% compared to a year ago.

According to State Statistical Committee, 673 wagons have been entrained, 434 wagons detrained per day. 3.9 mln tons entraining was realized on western direction, 3 mln tons â€“ southern direction. Entraining works on northern direction dropped 8.9%, rose 21.8% on western direction and was the same on southern direction.
