There are 105 mobiles for every 100 people in Azerbaijan

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA. In the first half-year of 2011, ICT incomes increased by 15% in Azerbaijan, up 2 times from the world average indicator, minister of communications and IT Ali Abbasov said at todayâ€™s board meeting.

The minister said that growth tendency had continued for 6-7 years: â€œThat is, Azerbaijanâ€™s ICT sector extends by 2 times every 3 yearsâ€.

To him, in the first half-year of 2011, electronization of fixed telephone system has been finished in Azerbaijan, services in mobile phone sector extended: â€œCurrently, there are 105 mobiles for every 100 people in Azerbaijanâ€.

The minister also noted that services in mobile sector dropped 30% during the reporting period, roaming prices decreased by 20-30%.
