Transport tariffs increase in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. Cargo transportation tariffs in transport sector rose 0.8%, passenger transportation tariff â€“ 0.5% during June, 2011.

According to State Statistical Committee, the cargo transportation on local connection in railway decreased by 0.5%, on transit cargo transportation rose 6.4%, on sending to other countries â€“ 4.6%, on importing from other countries â€“ 4.2%. The passenger transportation tariffs on international connection increased by 5.7%.

Cargo transportation to CIS countries via sea transport went 0.4% down, to far foreign countries went 8.4% up.

Cargo and passenger transportations to CIS countries via air transport soared 0.1% and 1.4%, to far foreign countries â€“ 2.1%. Passenger transportation on the local connection fell 15.5%.

Cargo transportation on oil via pipe transport grew 0.6%, gas transportation tariffs decreased by 0.4%.

Cargo transportation on motor transport surged 1.2%.
