Bakcell congratulates children on International Child Protection Day - PHOTO
The holiday event dedicated to June 1 - International Child Protection Day was organized at the initiative of ANS Press Publishing House, “Bala Dili†and “Elli†children’s magazines. Bakcell, together with children who participate in the Corporate Social Responsibility program “Bakcell Starsâ€, joined to support this initiative. “Bakcell Stars†children’s choir from Baku SOS Children’s Village and Dancing Group from Baku SOS Youth House for Girls performed in front of their peers.
On behalf of children, Head of Surakhani Boarding School, Ms. Gabila Bagirova thanked to Bakcell and ANS Press Publishing House for organizing such an entertaining event and commended SOS Children’s choir and dancing group for their wonderful performance. “This is a great social experience for children. It creates a good chance for them to interact, laugh, play, have fun, make new friends and feel members of the big community.â€
The children were also joined by popular singers and “Korpem†Children’s theater who entertained children with a clownery play. Competitions were conducted among children for the best dance and poem. Each child received gifts from Bakcell and also “Bala Dili†and “Elli†magazines. Children also enjoyed outdoor sports and play activity organized by the team of Social Services Initiative, the implementing agency of “Sports for Development and Inclusion†project within the “Bakcell Stars†Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
On the 1st of June Bakcell also conducted a campaign in partnership with “Parents†international parents and family magazine. During the campaign run at the busy spots of Baku, as Fountains Square, Nizami Street and Sahil Park, Bakcell staff members and a group of volunteer students distributed holiday gifts to children and “Parents†magazine to parents. “Taking good care of children is one of the main obligations of parents. We are happy to give parents their favorite “Parents†magazine as a gift on the International Child Protection Day, which we hope can be a useful guide for them. Thank you to Bakcell for organizing this campaignâ€, said Suheyla Jafarova, Editor-in-chief of “Parents†magazine.
