Deputy minister Iltimas Mammadov: â€œArmenians could not impede launching of first national satellite into orbitâ€

Baku. Ali Ahmadov - APA-Economics. Works related to the first national artificial satellite of Azerbaijan, as well as production of satellite and rocket are underway and until the end of 2012, Azerbaijanâ€™s telecommunication satellite will be launched into the orbit, said deputy minister of communications and IT Iltimas Mammadov.

As to Armenian lobbyâ€™s appeals to different state bodies of US in order to prevent it, Mammadov said that such appeals might be more: â€œBut we did our work. The minister Ali Abbasov is in the US now. He is conducting talks there. That is why, I can say today there is no problem in production of satelliteâ€.

Deputy minister noted that development of independent Azerbaijan and implementation of such big projects cause interest of many people, some of them approach this issue fervently. But we do not want to lose time. We demand preparation of the satellite in time correspondingly with the contract signed with appropriate companiesâ€.
