Seminar on establishment of address register held in Azerbaijan

Baku. Ali Ahmadov - APA-Economics. Today, by the participation of representative of Norwegian Mapping and Cadastre Authority Helge Onsrud and international Danish adviser Peter Larsen, there was held a seminar on â€œAddress register in the Republic of Azerbaijan: duties and perspectivesâ€ at the State Committee for Property Affairs.

Discussions on progress of grant agreement on creation of the address register information system signed between the governments of Azerbaijan and Norway were conducted at the event.

Remind that, according to the agreement, address register information system is considered to establish in Azerbaijan within 1.5 year. Address register information system is one of the perfect innovative projects implemented in non-oil sector and infrastructure sphere in our country.

Experts presented the measures taken within framework of the project, establishment of address register, European standards and practice in its conduction, interesting presentations on current state of address information in Azerbaijan. It was noted that, European Union’s EURADIN and INSPIRE`s practices would be used in order to bring the information system in line with European standards.

Proposals on address register established in Azerbaijan on the basis of analysis of the international practice were considered within the seminar.

Note that, the project will allow to create the address database, get fast information about addresses, management and planning of city economy, giving address to the real estate will be optimized.
