77% of transport workers engage in state sector, Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. 76.6% of 63,400 hired workers engaged in state sector, 23.4% in private sector, in first quarter of 2011, Azerbaijan.

SSC says 55.4% of workers were in surface and pipeline, 8.3% in air transport, 21.5% in subsidiary and establishments on additional transport activities: â€œLast year, average monthly salary of transport workers rose 20.8% to AZN 423.8. This index made AZN 886.5 in air transport, AZN 535.2 in sea transport, AZN 432.4 in motor transport, AZN 205.8 in railway transportâ€.

Nevertheless, number of workers in information and communications institutions made 24.500 people, average monthly salary increased by 16.9% to AZN 593.6.
