This year, state control of construction was carried out in 4080 facilities - Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations

"During the current year, 112 hotlines received about 1,400,000 calls, or an average of about 5,000 calls per day, related to various issues, including fire, explosion, car accident, violation of safety rules in construction, industry and mining, and other issues," said Minister of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan Kamaladdin Heydarov at a ceremonial meeting on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, APA reports.

The Minister said that for the purpose of fire control, more than 66,000 fire-technical inspections were conducted in social, industrial, transport, communication, agricultural facilities, service areas and other designated facilities, and demand letters containing about 390,000 demands were given to facility managers and owners to eliminate the identified deficiencies, and at the same time, more than 220,000 citizens were instructed on fire safety:

"Regardless of their destination, state control of construction was carried out in 4080 objects where construction works were carried out by individuals and legal entities. In order to control safety in industry and mining, technical inspections of more than 34,000 dangerous devices and equipment were conducted in 2,909 enterprises, and the knowledge of technical safety rules of 5,680 workers and engineers was checked. For ensuring the radiation safety of the population and the environment and check the organization of physical protection of ionizing radiation sources, 272 control measures were carried out in medical, industrial and scientific research institutions, as well as identification and dosimetric control of 353 radioactive sources during the import-export operations of radioactive sources. In accordance with the requirements of the existing legislation, 98 small vessels owned by individuals and legal entities were initially state registered, and technical inspection of 2164 small vessels was carried out based on the request of ship owners.
