ISO 37001 - "Anti-bribery management system" international certificate of the State Agency for Safe Working in Industry and Mountain-Mine Control of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has been updated, APA reports citing the website of MES.
ISO 37001 standard was established by International Standardization Organization (ISO) in 2016 and is considered the only standard accepted globally in the fight against bribery.
Applying the ISO 37001 standard gives the Agency advantages in the field of identification and management of bribery risk related to its activities, reduction of corporate risks associated with bribery, compliance with international anti-bribery norms, application of best practices, and legal requirements. At the same time, it gives a guarantee to interested parties that the institution is taking positive steps to prevent bribery. ISO 37001 standard, combining the best experiences against bribery, also creates the basis for increasing transparency in management.
The activities of the organization that received the certificate are audited annually by the company Denetik International Certification and Surveillance Services that issued the certificate in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 37001 - "Anti-Bribery Management System" international standard and the certificate is renewed if no deficiencies are found.
Note that the State Agency for Safe Working in Industry and Mountain-Mine Control of the Ministry of Emergency Situations is one of the first state institutions that applied the mentioned standard in its activity implementing clause 2.11 of the Action Plan on the "National Action Plan for strengthening the fight against corruption for 2022-2026" approved by Decree No. 3199 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated April 4, 2022.
