On December 7, at around 10:00, Rahim Habibov, born in 1987, a resident of Azerbaijan’s Lerik district, working in the field of electrical detailing in the area of Tar workshop in Azerbaijan’s Shusha, was injured in the amputation of his right leg below the knee as a result of a mine explosion while laying an electric cable, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan told APA.

Currently, an investigation is being conducted at the Shusha District Prosecution Office.

The landmine incident occurred in the area of a former Armenian post near the city of Shusha, which was not cleared of mines, Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) told APA.

That person was injured in the leg. He was evacuated to the hospital with the help of police officers.
