An internationally wanted person has been extradited to Azerbaijan, Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan told APA.
In accordance with the requirements of the norms and principles of international law, the request of the Azerbaijani side on the extradition of Samir Hasanov, a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was ensured by the authorities of the Republic of Lebanon.
As reasonable suspicions were established that Samir Hasanov had committed a criminal act of fraud by causing a significant amount of damage, a decision was made to prosecute him as an accused person, and he was put on an international search list for escaping from the investigation and hiding.
On November 29, Samir Hasanov was brought to Azerbaijan from Lebanon accompanied by a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan.
