Armenia placed Kamil Zeynalli on the federal wanted list on September 29, 2020, two days after the Patriotic War began, Kamil Zeynalli’s lawyer Alakbar Garayev told APA’s Russian bureau.
According to the lawyer, Kamil Zeynalli is charged with articles 135 and 147 under the Criminal Code of Armenia.
“It is not known what specific criminal act we are talking about" he added.
“Kamil Zeynalli was arrested at night time as a suspect for 48 hours. The prosecutor's office is waiting for the arrival of some additional materials from Armenia today. And if those additional materials arrive, then tomorrow Kamil Zeynalli will be brought before the court for the selection of preventive measures."

The Azerbaijani fitness trainer Kamil Zeynalli was detained at the request of Armenia, Kamil Zeynalli's lawyer Alakbar Garayev told APA's Moscow correspondent.
According to him, Kamil Zeynalli was taken to the Domodedovo police station.
Although the lawyer underlined that Kamil Zeynalli was charged with the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of Armenia, he did not specify the articles.
Alakbar Garayev noted that he is currently dealing with the case.
