Explosive devices with high explosive power were found in the bottom and side parts of 4 bridges in Azerbaijan’s Khojavand district, it was stated in the joint information of the Ministry of Internal Affair of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), APA reports.
Wire traps containing more than 200 kg of TNT-filled boxes and electrically activated explosive devices installed by illegal military units were identified on bridges located near residential buildings, the central district hospital, as well as private residential areas.
Thus, electric detonators and several TM-57-type anti-tank mines were installed on the bottom and sides of the bridges in boxes filled with TNT parts weighing 25 kg each. Explosive devices such as these are placed in order to cause a deadly explosion and mass destruction of equipment and people.
The detected explosive devices were neutralized by ANAMA employees and the security of the areas was ensured.
