After the establishment of the Lachin checkpoint on the border of Azerbaijan and Armenia and its operation, the arrest and transfer of nearly 400 wanted persons of Armenian origin to the investigation has been accelerated, Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Kamran Valiyev told journalists at the 4th Meeting of Economic Cooperation Organization member states, APA reports.
According to him, some Armenians who committed war crimes in Garabagh have been arrested.
"I hope that we will achieve more positive results in this direction in the future. As for the international courts, the evidence obtained during the investigation carried out within the country, is submitted to international courts by the relevant institutions, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," said Kamran Aliyev.
