Azerbaijani police detained two drug dealers working for Iranian citizens

Azerbaijani police detained two drug couriers in Saatli, Shirvan regional group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told APA.

The residents of the region, who were drug couriers for foreign citizens, were arrested during the events held by the officers of the Saatli District Police Department.

2 kilograms of 500 grams of heroin, about 5 kilograms of marijuana, 1 "Makarov" brand pistol, 1 cartridge comb and 8 cartridges were taken from those persons.

During the investigations, it was found that the mentioned persons were couriers in exchange for narcotics to an Iranian citizen whom they met through a social network.

A criminal case has been initiated in connection with the fact, M. Isgandarov and A. Yolchuyev have been placed under arrest by the court's decision. Investigations are ongoing.

As a result of the measures taken in this direction by the officers of the department in the last few days, a total of 7 people were detained, and different weights of heroin, methamphetamine and marijuana were taken from them.
