After the signing of the Trilateral Declaration, the remains of nearly 400 citizens were discovered during the search-excavation works, said the deputy head of the working group of the Azerbaijan's State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons Eldar Samadov, APA reports.

He said that the search-excavation works are being continued: "The State Commission of the present area has received a lot of information about Azerbaijani missing persons, those who were released from captivity and those who witnessed the war. According to the information we have, in addition to Azerbaijani soldiers, many civilians were killed by Armenians in this area. Cleaning works were carried out by Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) in the area. Excavation works were carried out by specialists of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS. About 4 skeletons have been identified. It is evident from the bones here that there are additional bones belonging to humans. For this reason, excavation work should be continued here".

Eldar Samadov noted that the State Commission will properly fulfill the duties assigned to them by the head of the state: "We hope that we will be able to end the waiting of those who have lost their loved ones for 30 years."
