An earthquake was recorded in the Caspian Sea, 51 km north-east of the Azerbaijan's Altiaghac station, Republic Seismological Service Center of Azerbaijan told APA.

The magnitude of the earthquake was 5.5, the depth was 70 km.

The earthquake was felt up to 5 to 3 degrees in Altiaghac, Siyazan, Guba, Gusar, Khachmaz, Shabran, Gobustan, Absheron peninsula.

On 07.12.2023 at 08:16 local time, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 was recorded in the Caspian Sea, Republic Seismological Service Center of Azerbaijan told APA.

Noted that the earthquake was felt in the regions close to the Caspian Sea and on the Absheron Peninsula in some places with a magnitude of 5 and in some places up to a magnitude of 3.

The depth of the earthquake is 68 km.
