Interior Ministry holds board meeting

Baku – APA. Interior Ministry has today held a board meeting on “Measures taken to prevent and solve robberies in houses” and “Measures taken to improve security units and tasks lying ahead”, the ministry’s press service told APA. Interior Minister, Colonel-General Ramil Usubov addressed the board meeting. The minister said positive results were achieved in the first quarter of the year in law-enforcement, in combating crimes, ensuring public safety, solving grave crimes, preventing illicit drug turnover. Commenting on the issues on the agenda, Ramil Usubov said it required high professionalism, skills and experience to solve robberies and noted that installation of alarm systems was one of the main factors to reduce robberies. The minister also said the leadership of the Security Department and local bodies carried out important activities to improve security service in line with modern standards and eliminate the existing problems.
The Minister spoke not only about the successes achieved, but also existing shortcomings.
Chief of the Criminal Search Department Emin Shakinski commenting on the first issue on the agenda, said that Interior Ministry always focuses on proper activity in searching the accused and missing persons.
Providing detailed information about the second issue on the agenda, Chief of Main Security Department Madat Guliyev noted that considerable measures had been taken in security issues.
