St Petersburg–APA. Two Azerbaijani citizens were arrested in St Petersburg, Russia. Law-enforcement sources told Baltic news agency that they are suspected in the assault and murder, APA reports.
34-year old man and 57-year old woman were taken to the hospital with traumatic brain injury and the woman died on March 21. Jewelries and household appliances disappeared from their apartment.
The Azerbaijani citizens, both 29, are suspected in this crime.
The investigators found out that the suspects entered in their apartment following the man, who returned home at 7.00 a.m., beat him and his wife, and then took the valuables and escaped from the site.
A criminal case was launched on the fact of assault. Part of the stolen things was confiscated.
